Upgrade Your Pets With Hero Wars: Dominion Era’s Event: The Great Storm (August 2025)
Feeling like your Hero Wars Dominion Era Pets need a tune-up? Well, you’re in luck, because the recurring event, The Great Storm, is back for three days. The last time the Great Storm event was active was in June 2025, and now that it’s back, you can farm even more Pet Potions, Chaos Particles, equipment Stones, and more goodies for your Pets.
What is the Great Storm Event?
There are multiple aspects to Hero Wars Dominion Era’s Great Storm event. The first is a series of quests that will give you rewards for accomplishing them before the event ends. The second is the Great Storm Adventure itself, a series of challenging battles for your Heroes to tackle.
Another thing to check out while the event is running is the event shop, which uses a special currency that you can get from the Great Storm quests and adventure.
The Great Storm Quests
As with a lot of events in Hero Wars Dominion Era, The Great Storm event comes with a series of quests that give you event-specific rewards for accomplishing tasks. These tasks range from logging in every day for the duration of the event to purchasing and using Emeralds. The rewards you get from completing quests include Emeralds, Action Points, and Storm Coins.
Action Points are basically the “Energy” you need to enter levels in the Great Storm Adventure, the same way you need Energy to complete missions in the Campaign.
Storm Coins are the unique currency you need to purchase items in the Great Storm Shop; more details on that are down below.
If the Great Storm event ends and you still have some Action Points and Storm Coins left, don’t worry, they’ll automatically turn into Storm Legacy Chests. These unique chests have a chance of containing Chaos Particles and Pet Potions among other rewards. You get 1.6 Storm Legacy Chests (rounded up) per remaining Action Point, and one Storm Legacy Chest per remaining 750 Storm Coins (if there are still leftovers, they automatically become one Chest).
The Great Storm Adventure
Similar to the Campaign, the Great Storm Adventure is a series of battles that increase in difficulty. There’s also the added challenge of your Heroes’ max health lowering and the enemy damage received decreasing the farther into the Great Storm you get. However, you can counteract the enemy damage resistance by defeating enemy squads. Each squad you defeat lowers the enemies’ damage resistance.
The Great Storm Adventure also has some hidden chests and powerful bosses spread around the course, so be ready for anything.
Winning battles will reward you with Storm Coins, allowing you to get more rewards from the Great Storm Shop.
The Great Storm Shop
The Great Storm Shop is a unique shop that only appears during the Great Storm event. As mentioned above, they only accept Storm Coins as currency.
In the image above, you can see all of the purchasable items in the shop. They’re all items that will make your Pets stronger: equipment Stones, Pet Souls Chests, and Storm Legacy Chests.
