Are your Heroes’ Artifacts feeling a bit rusty? It’s time to polish and upgrade them, which will be easier for the next few days because Hero Wars Dominion Era just dropped two recurring events: Legacy of the Great Ones and Emerald Waterfalls.

Both of these events have the potential to reward you with Artifact Fragments and Artifact upgrade resources, as well as some other goodies. Learn how to participate in these events and earn those rewards in the following segments.

What is Legacy of the Great Ones?

Legacy of the Great Ones is usually a three-day event that serves as a sort of Season pass. I say “usually” because it was only a one-day event once back in September 2022. That’s not the case now though, as the Legacy of the Great Ones event will be up until September 5 (Friday), 2 AM UTC.

So, how does it work? Well, the event presents you with a series of quests like leveling up Artifacts or spending Energy, and you get Event Points for accomplishing them. Event Points progress you through the event like a Season Pass, and once you “level up”, you get Emerald Coins, which is a unique currency you can spend in the Event Shop.

Here’s what’s available in the Legacy of the Great Ones Event Shop and how much Emerald Coins they cost:

Absolute Artifact Essence - 80 Emerald Coins
Absolute Artifact Scroll - 80 Emerald Coins
Absolute Artifact Metal - 80 Emerald Coins
100x Artifact Coins - 60 Emerald Coins
Flawless Artifact Chest - 180 Emerald Coins
Chaos Core - 600 Emerald Coins

So which items should you aim for in this shop? Well, that depends on which Artifacts you want to upgrade. If they’re mostly Flawless (orange) Artifacts, then go for the Flawless Artifact Chests. If you already have Absolute (red) Artifacts and are aiming to max them out, then go for the Absolute resources.

However, for newer players, you should prioritize Artifact Coins and Chaos Cores since you’ll need them to get your first Artifacts and upgrade them once you start to get duplicates.

What is the Emerald Waterfalls Event?

Now it’s time for a much simpler event. The Emerald Waterfalls event is accessible through your Special Events screen. All you have to do is accomplish the tasks in the four tabs, and you earn the assigned rewards. See? Simple.

The two “Emerald Boom” tabs reward you with Bottled Energy and Equipment Fragment Chests, respectively, for purchasing Emeralds with real money.

On the other hand, the “Competent Investment” and “The Bare Necessities” tabs reward you with Great Enchantment Runes and Large Skin Stone Chests, respectively, for spending Emeralds.

The Emerald Waterfalls event ends on September 6 (Saturday), 2 AM UTC.
