Dan Heng Permansor Terrae Kit Leaked: Why Players Are Already Saving Stellar Jade

Since the beginning of the game, Dan Heng has grown to become one of the most fan-favorite units within Honkai: Star Rail.
Because of how popular and important to the story he is, Dan Heng even got an alternate form unit release back in version 1.3, with Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, and just recently, the Official HSR accounts on social media have announced another new form for this well-beloved character, Dan Heng - Permansor Terrae.
With the release of the newest version 3.5 of Honkai: Star Rail comes the new beta leaks of version 3.6 and the floodgate of information related to his kit and synergy with the meta.

Dan Heng Permansor Terrae Kit Leak Details
From the announcement alone, we can already tell that Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae (dubbed "Terravox" by many players right now) is going to be a Physical Preservation unit, making him a first with this combination, as well as the first Preservation release since Aventurine. According to a post on Reddit, Terravox is an Attack scaler, and his leaked kit is as follows:
- Skill – Terravox will be able to choose one specific teammate to buff (designated as Bondmate) while providing the whole team with a massive shield
- Talent – When a teammate has the Bondmate buff, Terravox will summon a dragon that acts separately with a base speed of 165 (similar to Numby from Topaz). When taking action, the dragon will dispel 1 debuff from all teammates, as well as provide a shield
- Ultimate – Deals damage to all enemies and provides a Shield to all allies. Along with this, his dragon from the talent becomes enhanced, and now when it takes action, it triggers a Follow-up ATK that deals damage of the Bondmate's Type to all enemies, scaling off of the Bondmate's Attack, lasting for 2 actions of the dragon.
To summarize, Terravox will shield your whole team with his skill and talent, while his ultimate will allow him to deal reasonable damage to all enemies. Along with this, his Signature Light Cone will be able to buff his shielding and supporting potential even further.
How Dan Heng Permansor Terrae Fits Into Current Meta
Right now, Terravox is shaping up to be a very powerful shielder that can rival and even beat the previous apex of Preservation, Aventurine himself. The biggest benefit that Terravox currently has is that it can be slotted into many teams that have Attack scaling as their main damage source. While Aventurine is a powerful shielder, being able to keep his whole team alive with his endless supply of shielding, his damage and team buffing in the modern meta is not as noteworthy, at least when compared to Terravox's kit. As of Version 1 of the beta, Terravox's shielding potential is on par if not better than, Aventurine's, while also being able to provide the team with extra damage and buffs.

Most notable is definitely the most recent meta unit of Phainon, as Terravox is predicted to be his best-in-slot sustainer. Currently, Phainon's best team requires him to run sustain-less, without a shielder or healer, to be able to maximize his stack generation as well as damage. This risky playstyle could lead to runs that rely on enemy hit RNG much more than others to survive. With the inclusion of Terravox, Phainon's team can play much more comfortably without sacrificing too much damage when compared to other sustain options.
Beyond Phainon, Terravox also works very well with the new DoT teams or any other fast-acting Attack-scalers, such as Acheron and Feixiao. His Bondmate mechanic allows him to amplify the damage of whichever DPS needs the most support, making him incredibly flexible across different team compositions.
