Zenless Zone Zero: A Look at the Three New Spook Shack Agents: Lucia, Manato, and Yidhari
Out of nowhere, Zenless Zone Zero just unveiled three new playable Spook Shack Agents for Version 2.3: Lucia, Komano Manato, and Yidhari. If the timing is right, the update should land smack dab in the middle of Halloween season, which is the perfect time for Spook Shack to shine.
People were already expecting Manato to be an Agent since he’s played a big role in the plot in the past two major updates. However, Lucia and Yihari had been kept so under wraps that not even leakers seemed to have seen them coming. It’ll be interesting to see just how they’ll fit into the plot, especially since Lucia and Yidharo haven’t even been mentioned by Yuzuha, Manato, and Alice yet.
With the addition of these three Agents, Spook Shack will be the second biggest faction in the game with a total of five Agents. That’s just one Agent behind the Sons of Calydon! Here’s what we know of these three newcomers so far.
The New Agents’ Roles, Gameplay, and Characteristics
Lucia: The Storyteller of the Hollows

Lucia Gameplay
Astra Yao came out four major updates ago in Version 1.5, and it looks like she’s finally having competition. Lucia will be an Ether Support Agent, making her the third one so far, and the second one to be an S-Rank.
So far, all the gameplay data we have is from leaks post announcement, but if they’re to be trusted, she’ll be a massive support for Rupture teams. This would make sense because the other past two S-Rank Supports have been for stun-critical builds (Astra Yao) and anomaly builds (Yuzuha). So having one for Rupture teams seems just about right. Though keep in mind that these are leaks and are subject to change.
Lucia Lore and Characteristics
Unfortunately, her English and Japanese Agent Records don’t have a voiceline, but her Chinese and Korean ones do, which might mean they haven’t fully decided on a voice actor yet. However, based on the voice lines she does have and her Agent Records post, it seems her character will be a storyteller with a fascination for Ethereals and the Hollow, and who can make any tale feel alive; a perfect archetype to have in Spook Shack!
She also comes from a tribe that lives on the edge of the Hollow, outside of civilization’s reach. So she might be a fish-out-of-water type character. Judging by the way she speaks in her quotes, she might even have a country accent, which should be mighty fine. Additionally, she has metal horns, kind of like Orphie, so she might be a Thiren. We don’t really know what the metal horns truly mean though, so we’ll have to wait for Version 2.2.
Fun Fact: Lucia’s current look might actually be a redesign since Zenless Zone Zero already teased another character with the same name and a nun outfit.
Komano Manato: Spook Shack’s Helpful Dog Thiren

Manato Gameplay
Sadly, after everything he’s done in the plot, Manato’s been delegated to being an A-Rank Agent. Unfortunate, but he is going to be the first A-Rank Rupture Agent, so who knows, he could still have some decent utility, especially for players who don’t have Yixuan.
Based on leaks, he seems to play similarly to Soldier 11, with wide slashes for basic attacks that can dish out fire damage when certain conditions are met. Even his Ultimate is him spinning and slashing vertically several times, just like Soldier 11. He has abilities that drain and replenish his own HP, so you’ll have to be careful how you use them.
Manato Lore and Characteristics
Out of all three new Agents, Manato is the only one who’s appeared and had an effect on the plot so far. He’s helped Yunkui summit during the whole Miasma medicine fiasco in Version 2.0, and he’s been with the Spook Shack crew and their fight against Procelumex and the Exaltists in Version 2.1.
Personality-wise, he’s been sort of the straight man of Spook Shack, balancing out Yuzuha’s quirky extrovertedness and Alice’s extreme OCD. He doesn’t always understand the antics of his crew, but he usually plays along and is pretty wholesome.
Yidhari: Mommy- Sorry, Momm- Sorry, Mommy

Yidhari Gameplay
With Yixuan debuting the Rupture role, the Rupture Agents just keep on coming, with Yidhari being the third addition. With the addition of more and more enemies and game modes that make extensive use of Miasma shields, this new Agent type is going to be in high demand.
Once again, keep in mind, these are from leaks. Similar to Manato, Yidhari seems to rely on HP juggling with several abilities that drain her HP in exchange for higher damage or effectiveness. She even has passive abilities that increase her DPS and Decibel accumulation when her HP is low. Her chain attack increases her team’s Max HP, making her sort of a healer as well.
Yidhari Lore and Characteristics
Like Lucia, Yidhari’s passion lies with storytelling. Although unlike Lucia, who seems to enjoy verbal storytelling, Yidhari seems to be more of an author, expressing herself far better in writing than she does in talking. Specifically, she seems to enjoy dark fantasy, the way she calls stories a “romantic corruption of reality”.
She’ll most likely be a Thiren since the tentacles around her do seem to originate from her body, where a tail would usually come out of. Her name, “Yidhari”, may originate from the Outer God Yidhra from Cthulhu mythology, and her hammer is named Kraken, so they’re really leaning into the whole tentacled horror theme. It’ll be interesting to see just how she interacts with Alice, who isn’t particularly fond of horror and disorder.
