Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 Special Program Livestream - When Is It and What to Expect?
The Waifei Peninsula arc of Zenless Zone Zero is in full swing. After Belle and Wise’s adventure with Spook Shack to take down the heads of Porcelumex and uncover more of the Exaltist’s plans, it’s time for Obol Squad to take center stage.
The livestream will take place tomorrow, Thursday, August 22, at 11:30 AM UTC. You can watch it on their official YouTube and Twitch channels once it drops. Zenless Zone Zero Special Programs always have new limited-time redemption codes, so make sure to watch!
What else should you expect from the livestream? Well, continue reading for all the information we know so far, as well as some speculations about what’s to come.
The New Banners for 2.2
As usual, the new Agents are the content most people are looking forward to the most. The new Agents for Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 are going to be Orphie & Magus (as one character) and Seed from New Eridu Defense Force - Obol Squad.
It’s been a long time coming for Obol Squad; the faction has been in the game since launch, but has only had one Agent for the longest time: Soldier 11. Obol Squad is the last of the original factions to have more than two Agents, so fans are understandably excited about it.
It should be interesting to see how Hoyoverse handles Orphie and Seed, because they have some very saturated roles. Orphie & Magus is going to be a Fire-Attack Agent, and Seed will be an Electric-Attack Agent. In fact, with the addition of Seed, Electric-Attack Agents are going to be the most common role in the game, with three other Agents sharing the role: Harumasa, Soldier 0 - Anby, and Anton.
As for the rerun banners, Hoyoverse hasn’t announced who they’ll be yet. However, based on who the oldest Agents who haven’t had a rerun are, they will likely be Harumasa and Evelyn.
The Continuation of Belle and Wise’s Story
The story left off with Damian taking over Porcelumex after Belle, Wise, Alice, Yuzuha, and Manato busted their operations with the Exaltists. Obol Squad actually already made contact with them during 2.1, but they tried to keep their support as hands-off as possible because news of them being in Waifei Peninsula might cause some trouble.
With 2.2 though, the situation might have either escalated to warrant Obol Squad going public, or the story will be about Obol Squad’s covert operation within the area, with Wise, Belle, and possibly Yunkui Summit joining them.
The Exaltist Overseer was revealed to be alive in the story, so presumably, the hunt for them will be the main plot of 2.2.
Upcoming Events
As for the upcoming events, Zenless Zone Zero has kept its lips pretty tight about them. Hopefully, whatever they are, they flesh out Failume Heights more. So much of Sailume Bay and the Fantasy Resort remains empty, so it would be awesome to get some new content there.
