Apps that pay you to perform simple tasks are in trend.

One such app that has recently surfaced is called Benjamin app. The app claims that users have earned over $5M through it and some user reviews also claim to have made hundreds of dollars in a few months.

I decided to investigate these claims and review the app myself.

The article covers all my findings, which include:

  • Introduction to Benjamin app
  • Is Benjamin app legit?
  • What are the ways to earn?
  • User reviews and ratings

As a bonus, I’ll also introduce you to Scrambly, a legit app that pays you for playing games and using daily use apps.

Let’s begin.

What is Benjamin App?

The Benjamin app is yet another get-paid-to (GPT) addition to the list of GPT platforms that offer cash rewards to users for performing certain tasks through the app.

Your rewards become available to withdraw once you have earned $25 or more. And withdrawal options include PayPal, Venmo, gift cards, and bank transfers.

As evident, the platform is available only as an app, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.

However, the app is only available in the US, and that too for 18+ individuals only.

So if you meet that criterion, you might want to give it a shot. But not before making sure it’s not a scam. So, is the Benjamin app legit? Let’s find out.

Is Benjamin App Legit?

Benjamin’s profile on Crunchbase shows that the company was founded on January 5, 2022, and is headquartered in New York. The three founders of the Benjamin app and, by extension, the company, are publicly listed on Crunchbase.

The company has a high growth and heat score which basically means it is growing and attracting investors and users. The growth prediction for the future is also very high at 94%.

So what does this mean for us? Is Benjamin app legit?

Well, having a listing on Crunchbase with all essential details and a positive track record is usually a characteristic of legit companies. So it’s safe to say that the Benjamin App is legit.

However, even in practice, there are many Benjamin app reviews testifying that the app actually paid them.

We’ll get into those reviews shortly.

Now that we’re assured of Benjamin app’s legitimacy, let’s explore the different ways to earn through the app.

Ways to Earn on the Benjamin App

The Benjamin app website shows the following four ways to make money on the app.

Playing Games

The Benjamin app has a games hub featuring a collection of 3rd party games.

There’s a limit to how much money you can make from a game. Each game’s reward limit varies from the other.

To play and earn from a game, you must download the game from the Benjamin app. Then, when you want to play a game, you must open the game from within the Benjamin app.

Downloading and opening the game from elsewhere won’t get you any rewards because then Benjamin won’t be able to track your activity.

This is a standard practice for other apps like Benjamin, too, such as Scrambly. So keep this in mind when using GPT apps.

Taking Surveys

Much like Freecash, Benjamin also offers surveys with a cash reward.

Benjamin will show you surveys from different brands from time to time as they become available. When attempting a survey, you might have to answer a few screening questions to qualify for the actual survey.

The purpose of these questions is for the app to check if you actually fit a survey’s target audience.

So don’t be surprised if you’re kicked during the screening process of a survey.

The earning from a survey depends on the length and number of surveys you take. But don’t rely on surveys too much. They appear infrequently, and very few are available at a time.

Scanning Receipts

Do you go shopping too often? Benjamin offers frequent shoppers a way to earn using nothing other than their shopping receipts.

You’ll have to take a picture of your shopping receipts and submit them.

The app will then reward you with an amount of money based on the products in your receipts.

But why would Benjamin pay you for your shopping receipts? The value is in the information on your receipt.

Marketers want to know what product sells the most and where. They’re ready to pay for that information.

Another reason could be cash back. Brands offer cash backs on certain products, so if your receipt contains those products, you get the cash back while Benjamin keeps a portion for itself.

Watching Ads

When using the app, video ads can appear from time to time.

Don’t skip them because you’ll be rewarded for watching an ad to the end.

This is the most passive way to earn from the Benjamin app.

Benjamin App Reviews and Ratings

While we have answered how is Benjamin app legit on paper, let’s see what those who have actually used the app say.

The Benjamin app is available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

On Google Play, the App has a whopping 1+ million downloads and 4.4-star ratings based on 83.8K reviews.

On the Apple App Store, the rating is 4.6-star based on 50.4K reviews.

Similarly, on TrustPilot, the Benjamin app has a 4.0-star rating based on 1K reviews.

That’s a healthy rating for any app. But does the Benjamin app pay real money? Reviews say so.

Here’s a review from a user who claims that the app pays out according to its promises.

Here’s a Benjamin app review from the App Store. The user looks very happy here with their successful cashouts. They claim to have cashed out $221 in a matter of 4 months. And this user was also happy with the responsive customer service.

If the review is genuine, this says good things about the app.

However, just like positive comments, the app has a fair share of negative reviews as well.

Look at the following 1-star review, for example. The user calls the app a scam because they believe the app deliberately stops tracking once you’re about to make big rewards. Their experience with the support wasn’t good either.

Having covered everything, what is the final verdict?

The Benjamin app is a legit platform that pays you for performing different tasks. However, it has its ups and downs like other apps of its type. In those situations, you can always contact the support team.

Alternative GPT Platform: Scrambly

Benjamin is good and all. It has games, surveys, ads, and more.

But games are its main focus, and most users haven’t had a good experience with surveys.

Once you’ve maxed out the rewards of games, you’re left with no other apps.

Scrambly doesn’t leave you stranded like that. The Scrambly platform has about 150-170 or more gaming apps available at all times. And if you run out of your favorite games (you’ll never), you have finance apps to use and earn through. These include popular apps like Chime, Coinbase, and more.

Scrambly’s minimum payout threshold is also $1 only, which is the amount you want to earn to be able to unlock withdrawal. You also get loads of brands to choose from for your gift cards.

College students looking for financial tips or anyone looking for easy side hustles must give Scrambly a shot.

So, don’t give in to second thoughts.
