Enjoying your time with Backgammon - Lord of the Board, but don’t have enough coins to continue playing? Well, read on, because you’re about to learn all the ways you can access Lord of the Board’s free coins. Several methods allow you to claim some free coins outside of winning them from matches or paying for them with real money, so start hunting them down to play more Backgammon!

How to Get Free Coins in Backgammon - Lord of the Board

Daily Bonus and Four-Hour Bonus Coins

Daily Bonus is Lord of the Board’s daily login rewards system, which rewards you with more and more Coins, the longer your login streak is. And thankfully, the streak isn’t lost if you skip playing the next day. So if you have a three-day login streak, you can still claim the rewards for the fourth day even if you didn’t get to play the next day.

And then there’s the hourly coin collection feature. At the bottom center of the main screen, you’ll find a wheel icon that awards you free coins every four hours. The amount of coins you get will depend on your account level. As you level up, you’ll notice an “Hourly Bonus” on the level-up screen, which indicates how many coins are accumulated per hour. Of course, the coins will only build up for four hours, so it’s best to claim them as soon as you can so the coins can continue to pile up. You’ll notice that your Hourly Bonus doesn’t go up every single level, but it will go up eventually.

Coins are the main in-game currency in Lord of the Board and are used to play the game. To participate in matches, you need to pay the required amount of Coins. The higher the rank of the match you choose, the higher the fee. If you win the match though, you’ll win that amount back in double.

Lord of the Board’s Catch This Treasure feature allows you to obtain free coins for watching an ad. The amount of Coins you get will once again depend on your account level. It’ll start with 100, but will turn into 150 when you reach level 20+, and so on. The Catch This Treasure screen randomly appears on the main screen, so take advantage of it when you’re in need of some quick free coins.

Breaking Your Piggy Bank

On the upper left part of your screen, you’ll notice a pig icon. This will take you to your Piggy Bank, which slowly fills up with free Coins a little every time you play a match. Once it’s full, you can break it to claim all those Coins and upgrade your Piggy Bank to hold a larger capacity of Coins.

However, only the first full Piggy Bank is free. To continue breaking and upgrading your Piggy Bank, you’ll have to pay up, unfortunately.

Completing Your Album

Tapping on the icon of card packs in the bottom part of the main screen will take you to your Album. The Album contains several series of collectible cards, which you can get from packs. You can get packs from playing matches and other minigames. The rarer the pack (determined by its color), the higher the chance of getting rarer cards. Once you complete a series of cards, you’ll be awarded the Set’s Prize, which is usually in the tune of a couple thousand coins!

As you collect, you’ll notice that you’re starting to get copies of cards you already own, so what do you do with them? Well, in the top left of the Album screen, tap on the gift icon. You can claim gifts there once you obtain 20 stars, and you earn one star for each duplicate card you get.

Lucky Path can be accessed by tapping on Kenny the Koala on the bottom part of the main screen. This will take you to a board game-looking screen. Tap on the first space and you’ll get to pick between a few chests, which contain rewards like Coins, card packs, and gems. However, there’s also a chance of getting a bomb, which will cause you to fail the minigame.

If you get a reward and not a bomb, you can move on to the next space and pick from the next set of chests. You can keep going until you hit a bomb or reach the end of the board. Beware though, because if you do hit a bomb, you will lose all the rewards you’ve earned from your current run. You can also choose to back out and collect all your rewards once you feel like you’ve had enough or your luck’s running dry.

After failing by hitting a bomb or collecting your winnings, you can go for the Lucky Path again for free after 12 hours. You can also choose to spend 10 gems to skip the 12-hour cooldown and immediately replay Lucky Path.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board features a Season Pass system that will grant you tons of free Coins, packs, and gems. Earn keys by playing matches and other minigames, and the more keys you have, the more rewards you get.

These events can provide tons of free Coins and other rewards, so be sure to participate when you can.

Facebook Giveaways

If you’re fine with going outside the app, the official Lord of the Board Facebook page frequently gives out free coins. You can learn how to do so by visiting their page and seeing their posts.

Additionally, in-game coins aren’t the only thing they’re giving away. Every now and then, they also give away real-life goodies, like the iPad giveaway they had for their 4th of July celebration.

Finally, you can also earn some coins by simply connecting your Lord of the Board account with your Facebook account.

Does Backgammon - Lord of the Board Have Redemption Codes?

Unfortunately, there are no Lord of the Board redemption codes as of the time of writing this article. The methods mentioned above are currently the only ways of obtaining Coins for free. That’s not to say the Lord of the Board will never have redeemable codes though.
